UCCA – CORE Labs “New Media Talks” is a series of educational lectures targeted toward a diverse public that is interested in how new technologies are being applied to contemporary creation and in new digital media trends originating in Europe.
In the fourth session, CORE Labs computer engineer Felipe Sequerra will share with us how the Augmented Reality (AR) Technology could be used as a development tool in the fields of art and education. Concepts of AR will be introduced, and the difference with other tracking systems will be explained. Mr. Sequerra will show you how to establish frameworks to create your own AR applications, and how to put AR into practice. Core labs AR works in the field of art will be used as examples during the talk.
FELIPE studied Computer Engineering at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain), and improved his new-media skills at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Portugal). He has always focused on the interaction of hardware elements. He has participated in various interactivity and robotics projects. He is a permanent researcher on interaction-related techniques, motion capture and digital behaviors and environments. Since 2010, he has been a computer engineer at CORE Labs’ Hacklab.

FELIPE在马德里自治大学学习电脑工程，并在葡萄牙新里斯本大学磨练提高了新媒体技术。他一直关注于硬件之间的互动性，并参与了很多不同的互动与机器人项目。他的研究领袖包括互动技术，动态捕捉，数字行为和环境等。他于2010年开始在核心工作室担任电脑工程师。
