2012年11月3日，由今日美术馆携手瑞信主办、《东方艺术- 大家》杂志承办的《瑞信•2012 今日艺术奖入围展》在今日美术馆隆重开幕。今日艺术奖创办于2010 年，是中国首个由非营利性美术馆设立的艺术奖项，该奖项将每年颁发给一位有持久的创作力，敢于挑战艺术传统定义，对视觉艺术和当代文化有创造性启发和拓展的艺术家。
瑞信•2012 今日艺术奖仍旧沿用往届的评选机制，由张子康、黄笃、张晴、Tomas Rose、侯瀚如、Andre Rogger组成的评选委员会，分别从艺术家的创造力、思考能力、材料运用、艺术语言的独立性和文化的延续性五个层面对参选艺术家进行全面考虑，最终胡晓媛、季云飞、蒋志、邵译农、徐坦、张恩利入围了本届今日艺术奖的最终角逐。这六位艺术家有着全然不同的艺术视角和各自独特的工作方法，在今年的入围艺术家作品展中，将以6 个小型个展的方式，最大可能地呈现6 位艺术家对当今视觉文化作品参量的重新定义。特别策划的瑞信·2012 今日艺术奖入围艺术家作品展，将展出六位入围艺术家极具个人视觉表现力和价值内涵的作品，在今日美术馆的空间中完成对作品全新的诠释。
入围艺术家作品展将于2012 年11 月3 日至11 月17 日在今日美术馆三号馆展出，而本届今日艺术奖评选的最终结果将会在展览开幕日对外公布。
On 3 November, 2012, the Credit Suisse Today Art Award 2012 Finalists Exhibition was unveiled in Today Art Museum. Today Art Award was sponsored by Credit Suisse and Today Art Museum, and organized by Oriental Art – Masters. Today Art Award was created in 2010 to be the first art award set up by a non-profit museum in China. One winning artist will be selected annually for his or her constant artistic creation, challenge towards the traditional artistic expression,creative inspiration & development for visual art and contemporary culture.
Credit Suisse Today Art Award 2012 inherits the appraising & electing method from the past events. The selecting committee is comprised of Zhang Zikang, Huang Du,Zhang Qing, Tomas Rose, Hou Hanru,Andre Rogger, who are responsible for a comprehensive review of participating artists from five levels: creativity, power of thinking,utilization of materials, independence of artistic language and cultural continuity. Hu Xiaoyuan, Ji Yunfei, Jiang Zhi, Shao Yinong,Xu Tan, Zhang Enli succeeded as the finalists for this year’s Today Art Award. The 6 artists boasted various artistic perspective & their unique working methods. 6 smallscale solo exhibitions were presented for the 6 finalists this year to maximize their redefinition of parameters of contemporary visual & cultural works. The specially planned Shortlisted Show of Credit Suisse Today Art Award 2012 exhibited the 6 artists’ works with conspicuous personal visual power & inner value. These works completed their fresh interpretation in the spaces of Today Art Museum.
The Shortlisted Show of Credit Suisse Today Art Award 2012 will be on show from 3 November to 17 November 2012 in Hal 3,Today Art Museum. The final result of this year’s Today Art Award will be announced on the opening day of this exhibition.
